MCS makes in-roads into Asian market with first sale in Thailand

July 2009 - MCS, the leading rental software solutions specialist, announced the sale of its flagship rental software solution, MCS-rm, to Namsang Chakkol (NSC) of Thailand. MCS-rm will replace the Thai rental company’s outdated legacy system to deliver new levels of efficiency and productivity.

“We were desperate to find an automation solution for our back and front office rental and sales functions as our previous software package was in urgent need of replacing,” explained  Santi Temkulkiat, Senior Vice President of Namsang Chakkol, Thailand.

With a head office in Bangkok and depots in Chonburi, Chiang Mai, Rangsit and Bangna, Namsang specialise in the rental of generators, air compressors and welders throughout the region.

This is the first sales MCS have achieved in Thailand and the company looks forward to a growing market in the region.

“Thailand is a new market for us and we are extremely pleased to have broken through,” commented MCS Sales Manager, Nick Thomson. “Once Namsang gain a competitive advantage with MCS-rm and word gets out, we anticipate that this will lead to a growing demand of our products and services throughout the country.”

Namsang are using MCS-rm to manage all its day-to-day rental transactions such as creating quotations, contracts, invoices, work orders and purchase orders. The Thai rental company also wanted to manage current information on the status of equipments and customers at each depot.

After only a few month using MCS-rm, Namsang has already started to reap some of the benefits. These include a more detailed business insight by using the system to extract useful information and create management reports.

Santi Temkulkiat confirmed that MCS-rm has delivered overall improvements in the company’s operational efficiency and productivity resulting in substantial cost savings and improved profit margins.
