MCS, the rental software company, has won an Innovation Trail Live Award at the Executive Hire Show 2018 for its new Telematics Hub.
MCS Telematics Hub helps hire businesses harness the true value of their OEM telematics and any additional tracker solutions all in one convenient place. The value of the system comes from consolidating data from a variety of trackers presenting the relevant data at the right time within the operational MCS-rm rental management software.
Equipment data that can be accessed via the MCS Telematics Hub includes GPS location, maintenance, operating hours, fuel consumption and equipment utilisation information also helping hire businesses ensure that it has been used within the terms of the rental contract.
MCS was featured in a ‘live’ presentation and interview on the solution on day two of the Executive Hire Show. The participants of the Innovation Trail Live were selected by a panel of judges where the entrants were deemed to show ‘genuine innovation’ for the industry.
Chris Clarke, MCS’ Software Development Manager, who accepted the award in person said, “Equipment trackers generate such a lot of useful data. However, it is only when integrated with a businesses’ operational hire management solution that the data provides any real context and value to users. The telematics solution has generated such a lot of interest for us at the show this year both from providers who would like to find out more about partnering with us and also from hire companies who were keen to unlock the added value within their business. We would like to encourage other providers to work with us as we expect fleet telematics data to play a far more central role within rental businesses in the future.”
Providers who have already committed to the MCS Telematics Hub include JCB LiveLink, Trackunit, CanTrack, Pinpoint and Allsetra.
